Qualcomm and Advantech partner to enhance Edge AI for IoT at COMPUTEX 2025

Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. and Advantech announced a collaboration at COMPUTEX 2025 to advance AI-driven Internet of Things (IoT) applications. Advantech joins Qualcomm Technologies’ IoT ecosystem as a partner, integrating Qualcomm’s technologies into Advantech’s edge computing and edge AI platforms to support intelligent solutions across various industries.
The collaboration incorporates Qualcomm’s Dragonwing portfolio, introduced earlier in 2025, into Advantech’s hardware, including embedded modules, smart panels, AI cameras, edge AI systems, and robotic controllers. Advantech utilizes the Qualcomm Dragonwing QCS6490 processor for certain solutions and the Dragonwing IQ8 and IQ9 platforms for others, targeting applications in robotics, smart manufacturing, medical, retail, and urban infrastructure.
To support developers, Qualcomm Technologies and Advantech are providing a tool chain for edge AI development, combining Qualcomm’s platforms, such as Edge Impulse and Foundries.io, with Advantech’s EdgeAI SDK. This includes no-code/low-code model training tools and a model zoo to reduce time-to-market for intelligent edge solutions.
The partnership aims to facilitate scalable, high-performance edge AI deployments, leveraging Advantech’s embedded market expertise and Qualcomm’s AI and connectivity technologies to ad...
