L&T-Cloudfiniti partners with QpiAI to advance quantum computing
L&T-Cloudfiniti has entered a strategic partnership with Bengaluru-based deep-tech startup QpiAI to focus on quantum computing workloads, including Quantum Computing as a Service (QCAAS). The collaboration aims to enable scalable deployment of quantum solutions across various domains.
The partnership will explore opportunities under India’s National Quantum Mission. QpiAI, which developed Indus, a 25-qubit quantum computer, plans to offer a 256-qubit quantum computer and a fault-tolerant quantum computer with 100 logical qubits to support large-scale commercial applications.
L&T-Cloudfiniti and QpiAI will conduct joint R&D programs to develop solutions combining artificial intelligence and quantum computing. These efforts will target challenges in sectors such as finance, healthcare, and logistics.
Ms. Seema Ambastha, Chief Executive of L&T-Cloudfiniti, said the partnership will utilize their cloud infrastructure to host and execute quantum algorithms, aiming to deliver solutions that enhance operational efficiency. Dr. Nagendra Nagaraja, CEO of QpiAI, noted that the collaboration will leverage QpiAI’s technical expertise and L&T’s industry leadership to advance quantum computing technology and deliver solutions under India’s National Quantum Mission.
