Lip Bu Tan sees lot of hard work ahead focusing on the areas Intel has fallen short of customer expectation. His motto is  "under promise and over deliver". Under his leadership Intel will be a engineering focused company, where his top priority is to retain and recruit top talents in engineering and that empowers innovation and growth. Intel's ambition under his leadership is ultimately to create the best product and become the best semiconductor foundry. Lip Bu's time at Cadence help him to understand design methodology and chip foundry ecosystem. He learned a lot about Intel's challenges during his two years at the Intel board. Lip Bu tan loves Intel, making him feel hard when it is struggling. He sees Intel as a iconic and essential company that is important to the industry and also to the United States. He care deeply about Intel's success. He remembered people from Intel such as Albert Yu, Sean Maloney, Dadi (David) Perlmutter who inspired him.
