VLSID 2025: Massive milan of semiconductor chip geeks to start the year with updated knowledge
There was record turn out of attendees for this year's 38th International Conference on VLSI Design and 24th International Conference on Embedded Systems held in Bengaluru on 4th Jan to 8th Jan of 2025. One of the main reason for rise in crowd is due to it was held in Bengaluru, the semiconductor design capital of India.

Lot of attendees were clicking pictures with Chris Miller and sharing them on social media and were excited to see India's first foundry Tata Electronics going full steam in setting up the 28nm fab in Gujarat. It was good to see communication technology expert Arogyaswami Paulraj at the event, where he received the lifetime achievement award. His contribution to electronics communication is outstanding. He is the first inventor of MIMO wireless communicaton concept and various other strategic communication technologies during his tenure at Indian Navy. VLSI design expert Chitra Hariharan was also given women achiever award, who is a key person in organizing and managing this event.
