Synopsys to acquire Ansys for $35 Billion; Combined integrated tool for 3D ICs!

Chip design EDA leader Synopsys to acquire another CAD leader Ansys who also serves chip design industry with software for thermal, physical and other such complementing analytics software. This is a massive acquisition bid in electronics and semiconductor business as the year 2024 starts, having significant impact on EDA markets. Customer will see more integrated tools particularly for 3D chiplet based Heterogenous integrated ICs. Not only 3D ICs, combined tools can evolve to support highly sophisticated gadgets such as AR/VR headsets.
