Date: 03/11/2023
Doulos announces that it has acquired the 2net training portfolio, which will now be provided solely by Doulos to clients across the globe. This strategic decision has enabled the company to expand its existing range of Embedded Software courses by incorporating Embedded Android and additional Linux training.

Since 2002, 2net has been offering training solutions and has successfully conducted nearly 10,000 training hours focused on Linux and Embedded Android. Notably, their training portfolio includes the highly sought-after Embedded Android for Automotive course.

In discussing the move, Chris Simmonds, Consultant at 2net, and a distinguished expert on Android and Linux systems said, “I found in the Doulos team the necessary skills, experience, and passion to keep teaching in areas that continue to grow in importance. I will certainly remain active in the community and look forward to supporting the growth of this training through Doulos in the years ahead”.

Jonathan Burden, Doulos CEO said, “It has been a pleasure to collaborate with Chris this year as our two companies have partnered to deliver 2net training. Our shared values and depth of knowledge means the Doulos team is in a strong position to continue serving the Embedded Android and Linux community, enabling engineers and teams to be project ready.”

Thomas Winkler, Doulos VP of Sales & Business Development in Europe & Asia said, “This will help us to bring a complete Embedded Software training solution to our customers, especially in the automotive industry where Android Automotive OS is becoming a popular choice for In-Vehicle Infotainment (IVI) systems. Our knowledge in this area, led by senior trainer Simon Goda, can help customers make the integration of Android Automotive OS in their infotainment platforms a straightforward and predictable process.”
