Passive component leader Murata leases space to build ceramic capacitor factory in Chennai, India

Japan based world's leading precision passive component manufacturer Murata has announced leasing of land in Chennai to build a factory to manuacture passive components in India. Initially Murata to start producing ceramic capacitors from this new yet to build factory.  Murata is key supplier of precision components used in latest smart phones including  Apple iPhone.  Murata is also a key supplier of components to automotive electronics industry.

Murata Electronics (India) Private Limited, a subsidiary of Murata Manufacturing Co., Ltd., has entered into an agreement to lease a factory within an industrial park in India, with the handover taking place in February 2025. Through this venture, Murata will gain experience in factory operations in India, and prepare for future manufacturing activities in the country.
