Aratas America LLC has officially launched as an independent company following the transfer of shares previously held by OMRON Corporation to The Carlyle Group.

Established in July 2026, Aratas America builds on OMRON's more than 90 years of engineering expertise and its legacy of innovation, quality, and customer collaboration. As an independent organization, the company plans to build on that foundation while sharpening its focus on growth markets, strengthening its capabilities, and accelerating innovation across its global operations.

Judy Connors, president and COO of Aratas America LLC, said today marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter for the company. She said Aratas is combining the strength of its heritage with the agility, focus, and investment needed to accelerate innovation and drive future growth, and that supported by its talented employees, deep customer relationships, and industry-leading technology, the company is well positioned to move faster, invest boldly, and create lasting value for its stakeholders.

The company will continue delivering precision electronic components that underpin many of today's most critical technologies. Its product lineup spans relays, switches, connectors, and sensors supporting applications across automotive, industrial automation, AI infrastructure, data centers, smart buildings, gaming, agriculture, smart energy, and power tools. For decades, the company has worked alongside customers such as Itron and KS Technologies to deliver reliable electronic component technology supporting critical applications and enabling innovation across industries, relationships that Aratas says reflect the trust customers place in its engineering expertise, product quality, and commitment to technological innovation.

The name "Aratas" combines the Japanese words for "new" and "tomorrow," reflecting both the company's Japanese heritage, where it remains headquartered, and its forward-looking vision and commitment to shaping the future through advanced electronic component technology. Guided by a mission to connect people and technology, Aratas says it's guided by three core values: "Aspire," meaning combining ambition and passion to continually pursue new standards; "Agile," meaning working with flexibility and speed to turn change into new value; and "Ahead," meaning using foresight to propose solutions that power tomorrow.

As part of its transition to becoming an independent company, Aratas has revisited its business strategy and identified five strategic pillars to guide its future growth: focusing on growth markets and expanding order intake, strengthening product development capabilities, enhancing global manufacturing and supply capabilities, exploring medium- to long-term growth opportunities, and driving management and organizational transformation.

The company has already begun advancing initiatives tied to these priorities. In June 2026, Aratas approved plans to relocate and expand its manufacturing facility in Malaysia as part of its effort to strengthen global manufacturing and supply capabilities. The factory will increase its production capacity to 1.5 times its current level in anticipation of future business growth.

Aratas America LLC's new North American headquarters is located at 2000 Center Drive, Suite B223, Hoffman Estates, Illinois, 60192.
