SemiQ, a designer and supplier of silicon carbide (SiC) power semiconductor solutions, has announced a distribution agreement with Ibérica Semiconductores de Potencia, a Spain-based specialist in power electronics.
The partnership expands SemiQ's reach and support across Europe for its lineup of high-performance SiC MOSFETs and Schottky diodes, which the company positions around industry-leading reliability and efficiency.
Under the agreement, Ibérica will gain access to SemiQ's full portfolio of modules, discrete components, and bare-die products, and will provide application and design support to power system developers across Europe. Headquartered in Madrid, Ibérica has an established position in the Spanish power electronics market and will lead the development of SemiQ's business in Spain, while also supporting customers and business opportunities across the wider continent.
The partnership comes as industrial and automotive systems continue moving toward electrification to meet sustainability goals, with data centers and other power-intensive sectors working to become more energy efficient. At the same time, renewable energy generation and storage capacity continue scaling rapidly to meet demand and reduce environmental impact.
