AMD Learning Labs Give Students Hands-On Access to Technology

AMD frames its investment in technology access as a way to unlock opportunity, reflected in both the scale of its donations and the impact they've had in communities worldwide. From 2020 through 2025, the company made technology donations to more than 800 universities, research institutions, and nonprofit organizations, reaching an estimated 104.8 million people through support for education, scientific research, and workforce development. In 2025, AMD deepened that commitment further by pledging $150 million to expand AI education across the United States.

AMD Learning Labs put that broader commitment into practice, giving students hands-on opportunities to explore and build technical skills. In these labs, students write code, design animations, produce digital media, build PCs, and bring ideas to life using tools like 3D printers.

AMD frames this work as increasingly important as AI reshapes how people learn, work, and create. As part of its broader effort to prepare students for an AI-driven future, including its support of the White House AI Education Pledge, the Learning Labs are designed to help students build foundational skills such as critical thinking, computational literacy, creativity, and adaptability.
