Kulicke and Soffa Industries has appointed Dr. Raj Talluri as president and CEO, effective September 1, 2026. He was also elected to the company's board of directors, effective August 17, 2026.
Lester A. Wong, who has been serving as interim CEO while also holding the roles of executive vice president and chief financial officer, will continue in his CFO capacity going forward.
Peter T. Kong, chairman of the board, said the company is deeply grateful to Wong for his leadership during the transition period, crediting him with keeping the team's momentum strong. He said the company is excited to welcome Talluri as CEO, describing his track record and forward-looking approach as ideally suited to guide Kulicke and Soffa into its next phase of growth.
Wong said he was grateful for the opportunity to lead the organization and thanked the broader K&S team for their support and dedication throughout the transition. He also welcomed Talluri and said he'll work to ensure a smooth transition along with continued growth and success for the company.
Talluri said he's honored to join K&S at what he called an exciting point in the company's history, pointing to its portfolio of interconnect solutions and technical capabilities as offering strong value within the industry. He said he's looking forward to working with the company's global workforce to build on that position and capture the opportunities ahead.
Talluri joins K&S from Enovix Corporation, a Nasdaq-listed advanced battery technology company, where he most recently served as president, CEO, and a member of the board of directors. Before Enovix, from March 2018 through December 2022, he served as senior vice president and general manager of the Mobile Business Unit at Micron Technology. Earlier in his career, he held various senior executive roles at Qualcomm CDMA Technologies, along with engineering and business leadership positions at Texas Instruments.
Talluri holds a Ph.D. in electrical engineering from the University of Texas at Austin, earned in 1993, a master's degree in engineering from Anna University, earned in 1986, and a bachelor's degree in engineering from Andhra University, earned in 1984.
