|
Simple Energy, an Indian electric two-wheeler manufacturer, has expanded its use of Siemens cloud-based software tools to support more advanced product engineering and digital transformation as the company grows its lineup of electric vehicles.

The company is now using a broader set of tools from Siemens Xcelerator portfolio, including Teamcenter X for product lifecycle management and Designcenter X for advanced vehicle engineering. Simple Energy is also using Teamcenter X's product configurator capabilities to manage complex vehicle variants and enterprise-level bills of materials, giving engineering teams a more integrated digital environment that supports better collaboration while keeping things flexible and cost-efficient.

Simple Energy originally adopted Teamcenter X to build a centralized system for managing product data and improving collaboration across engineering teams. As its electric vehicle programs grew more complex, the company expanded its use of Siemens' software to handle enterprise-level bill of materials management and vehicle variant configuration, including what's known as a "150 percent BOM approach," a master bill of materials that includes every possible component, option, and variant for an entire product family.
