ESDA Appoints Gupta and Rhines to Governing Council, Welcomes ChipAgents and Rydev as New Members

The Electronic System Design Alliance, a SEMI Technology Coalition, has appointed two new members to its 10-person Governing Council: Ankur Gupta, executive vice president of the IC Portfolio at Siemens EDA, and Dr. Walden "Wally" Rhines, CEO and director of Silvaco. Alongside these appointments, ESDA also welcomed two new member companies, startups ChipAgents and Rydev.

 

Julie Rogers, executive director of ESDA, said Gupta and Rhines are welcome additions to the Governing Council, joining executives from other member companies who help guide the organization's direction and initiatives. She added that ESDA is glad to support ChipAgents and Rydev as new members, and looks forward to their involvement as the organization continues building its role as a hub for emerging companies in the industry.

 

Rhines said ESDA plays a central role in driving the broader design ecosystem, arguing that any company, whether a startup or a large enterprise, that considers itself part of that ecosystem should be part of an organization that connects it to the wider network of technology coalitions and member-led initiatives.
