Qualcomm Named BMW Group's Lead Compute Silicon Provider Through Next Decade

Qualcomm Technologies and BMW Group have announced a major agreement under which Qualcomm will supply the compute chips powering BMW's next-generation digital cockpit and advanced driver assistance and automated driving (ADAS/AD) systems for the next ten years. The agreement builds on years of technical collaboration between the two companies and reflects Qualcomm's ability to deliver the computing power and AI capabilities needed for BMW's most demanding vehicle programs.

 

The deal spans Qualcomm's Snapdragon Digital Chassis lineup, including its most powerful system-on-chips, the Snapdragon Elite automotive platform, and dedicated AI accelerators, chips specifically designed to speed up AI processing. Together, these establish the hardware foundation BMW will use to deliver its next generation of AI-powered vehicle experiences.
