Wolfspeed Adds Semiconductor Executive Andy W. Mattes to Its Board of Directors
Wolfspeed, a company focused on silicon carbide technology, has appointed Andy W. Mattes to its Board of Directors, effective immediately.
Mattes brings more than 40 years of leadership experience across the semiconductor and advanced technology industries. He previously served as CEO of two public companies, Coherent and Diebold Nixdorf, and held senior leadership positions at Hewlett Packard, Siemens, and McKinsey & Company. He also has more than two decades of experience serving on public-company boards and currently sits on the boards of AT&S AG, ams OSRAM AG, and Cohu, Inc. Over his career, he's built a track record in strategic leadership, operational management, and industry relationships, experience Wolfspeed says will support its focus on disciplined execution and long-term growth.
Robert Feurle, CEO of Wolfspeed, described Mattes as a distinguished global technology leader whose experience and strategic perspective will be a strong addition to the board, saying his leadership and industry expertise should prove valuable as Wolfspeed enters its next growth phase, working to execute its strategic priorities, strengthen its position in silicon carbide, and pursue long-term opportunities.
