Siemens Deepens NVIDIA Partnership to Bring Trusted, Self-Checking AI Agents to Chip Design

Siemens has expanded its partnership with NVIDIA to bring self-verifying agentic AI to electronic design automation (EDA), the software used to design chips and circuit boards. The goal is to help semiconductor and PCB engineering teams move beyond AI that simply automates tasks toward AI agents that can continuously check their own work against proven, physics-based engineering tools before those results are trusted.

This builds on Siemens recently introduced Fuse EDA AI Agent system, now enhanced with NVIDIA technology that helps long-running AI agents reason through engineering decisions, take action, and validate those decisions against deterministic EDA engines, meaning tools that produce consistent, physics-grounded results rather than probabilistic guesses. The idea is that instead of an AI agent just producing an output and moving on, it checks its own work against established engineering tools at each step, improving both the quality of results and how efficiently the AI uses computing resources. The Fuse system is now built into Siemens recently launched Intelligence Center X, a platform for creating and coordinating AI agents across a company's broader industrial operations, spanning design, manufacturing, and supply chain.
