mimik Brings Agentic AI to AMD's Ryzen AI Embedded X100 Series Processors
mimik has introduced mimOE Embedded Edition, a package combining its Agentix Operating Engine with a set of tools designed for AMD's newly released Ryzen AI Embedded X100 Series processor, a chip family aimed at physical AI, autonomous systems, and industrial automation. Available for download now, mimOE Embedded Edition is meant to give OEMs, tier-1 suppliers, system integrators, and developers a way to move agentic AI systems, where autonomous software agents reason, coordinate, and take action directly on a device, from early proof-of-concept work into full production deployment.
The company frames this as a departure from how generative AI has typically been built, largely centered on GPU compute for model inference. Agentic systems, by contrast, spread work more broadly across a device. In a real multi-agent workflow that mimik traced internally, more than 80 percent of the operations involved CPU work, things like discovering available agents and services, coordinating between agents, handling security, moving data, routing tasks, and managing the lifecycle of each agent, while less than 20 percent was actual model inference running on the GPU.
