Qnity Names Kate Dei Cas President of Its Semiconductor Technologies Segment

Qnity Electronics has appointed Katherine  Dei Cas as President of its Semiconductor Technologies business segment, effective August 3. She takes over from Sam Ponzo, who had been serving as interim president and will return to his previous role as Qnity's Chief Commercial & Strategy Officer once Dei Cas starts.

Jon Kemp, Qnity's CEO, said Dei Cas brings substantial experience driving operational performance and strategic initiatives within the semiconductor industry, pointing to her track record building strong teams, managing global supply chains, and driving growth as reasons she was the right fit to lead the company's semiconductor business.

Dei Cas has more than 25 years of experience in the semiconductor industry. She joins Qnity from EMD Electronics, a division of Merck KGaA Darmstadt, Germany, where she most recently held the role of Executive Vice President and sat on the company's Executive Team.

Dei Cas said Qnity has assembled a strong portfolio at a pivotal moment for the industry, one where AI is reshaping how the most advanced chips are designed and manufactured, and that she's looking forward to partnering with Kemp and the broader team to help drive that transformation.
