Kyndryl and Aptiv Team Up to Support Mission-Critical Edge Computing Systems

Kyndryl, which provides enterprise technology services, and Aptiv, an industrial technology company, have announced a strategic partnership aimed at helping customers modernize mission-critical systems, the kind of infrastructure that can't afford downtime, across global markets.

Under the agreement, Aptiv has selected Kyndryl to provide advisory, implementation, and managed services support as part of an effort to modernize its customer experience and product engineering. As part of the deal, Kyndryl will add Aptiv's Wind River software to its own solutions portfolio. This brings together several Wind River technologies, including the Wind River Cloud Platform with its private and sovereign cloud capabilities, eLxr Pro, VxWorks, and the Helix Virtualization Platform, with Kyndryl's strength in advisory work, deployment, and ongoing managed services. The two companies also plan to collaborate on joint go-to-market efforts and integrated offerings designed to help customers prepare for a computing landscape increasingly driven by edge AI, while making it easier to operate and secure mission-critical systems with less complexity and risk as they adopt edge and cloud technologies.
