Intel Expands Partnership with Google Cloud to Modernize Operations with AI
Intel and Google Cloud are deepening a multi-year partnership aimed at embedding AI more broadly into how Intel runs its business and designs chips. The expanded collaboration centers on two thing: rolling out Google's Gemini Enterprise platform across Intel's workforce, and tapping Google Cloud's infrastructure to speed up chip development.
Intel plans to put Gemini-powered AI tools in the hands of employees across engineering, supply chain, and corporate functions. Rather than running scattered pilot projects, Intel is moving toward a more systematic approach: giving teams a shared platform, the Gemini Enterprise Agent Platform, where different business units can build their own AI "agents," or automated helpers tuned to specific tasks, without needing to build everything from scratch each time. Concrete use cases already underway include coding assistants that use Gemini's reasoning abilities to help automate multi-step software development tasks, as well as marketing and communications agents that can draft audience-specific content, suggest subject-matter experts for a given topic, and help produce executive communications and campaign materials. Intel executive Cindy Stoddard framed this as giving employees a central hub for building and deploying these agents, with the goal of making internal workflows faster and more efficient.
