AMD Names Alan Smith as Newest Corporate Fellow
AMD has announced the appointment of Alan Smith as its newest Corporate Fellow, recognizing his contributions to GPU architecture and his technical leadership in advancing AMD's AI computing capabilities.
Mark Papermaster, Executive Vice President and Chief Technology Officer at AMD, said Smith's technical leadership in GPU architecture played a critical role in AMD's product success across HPC, AI for science, and data center AI computing. He said the Corporate Fellow appointment reflects the depth of Smith's technical contributions and his commitment to execution excellence, exemplifying AMD's engineering culture of innovation and collaboration.

The title of AMD Corporate Fellow is reserved for the company's most accomplished innovators, representing the highest level of technical recognition for industry influence and leadership that delivers lasting impact for AMD and its customers. Currently, 15 engineers at AMD hold this title.
