Diodes Incorporated Agrees to Acquire ElevATE Semiconductor for $250 Million
Diodes Incorporated has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire ElevATE Semiconductor in an all-cash transaction valued at $250 million.
ElevATE Semiconductor is a fabless company headquartered in San Diego, California, focused on the development of integrated circuits for the Automated Test Equipment (ATE) industry. The company designs solutions emphasizing low power consumption and high density to support lower costs of test.
According to the announcement, the acquisition will combine ElevATE’s ATE IC technology with Diodes’ product portfolio, manufacturing scale, and global sales network. The deal is expected to be immediately accretive to Diodes’ revenue, gross margin, and earnings per share. It is projected to contribute approximately $50 million in revenue during the first twelve months following closing, with revenue anticipated to grow at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) exceeding 20% over the subsequent four years. The acquired business carries a gross margin significantly above Diodes’ corporate average.
The transaction is also intended to broaden Diodes’ analog and mixed-signal product offerings and create additional opportunities for its portfolio in ATE market applications.
