Japanese semiconductor equipment maker Toho Koki Seisakusho Co., Ltd. is steadily building a foothold in India, courting academic institutions, state-run innovation hubs, and private companies as it positions the country as a key partner for future semiconductor manufacturing.

Toho Koki makes next-generation semiconductor substrate planarization equipment (CARE equipment) and Chemical Mechanical Polishing (CMP) pad technologies — precision tools used in semiconductor substrate processing. Over the past year, the company has expanded its India relationships, moving from an initial academic partnership to a broader network spanning research institutes, industry bodies, and manufacturers.
Tatsutoshi Suzuki, Executive Chairman, Toho Koki Seisakusho while talking to DDNews quoted "I believe this is a very good opportunity for our Japanese company, because India is a great market. That's why I'd like to go into India myself."
