Intel and MSI Co-Engineer World's First Arc G3 Extreme Handheld Gaming Device
MSI has released the Claw 8 EX AI+ handheld gaming device, powered by Intel’s Arc G3 Extreme processor, marking the first microprocessor Intel developed specifically for the handheld gaming segment.
The device was developed through a two-year collaboration between Intel and Taiwan-based MSI. It builds on two prior generations of MSI handhelds that used Intel Core Ultra Series 1 (Meteor Lake) and Core Ultra 200V (Lunar Lake) processors. The Arc G3 Extreme is a purpose-built system-on-chip (SoC) optimized for handheld gaming.
The Claw 8 EX AI+ is available in a “void purple” color exclusive to this model. It incorporates design practices from laptop engineering and lessons from earlier handhelds, resulting in a device that is a fraction of the size and weight of a typical mobile PC.
