FUJIFILM India Signs MoU with Gujarat for Semiconductor Materials Manufacturing

FUJIFILM India has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Gujarat State Electronics Mission (GSEM) under the Department of Science and Technology, Government of Gujarat. The agreement was signed at the Vibrant Gujarat Regional Conference in Vadodara.

The MoU covers cooperation in advanced semiconductor materials manufacturing and supply chain development. It includes assessing opportunities to establish a semiconductor materials production base in Dholera and working with government stakeholders, industry bodies, and private enterprises to develop a robust semiconductor supply chain in India.

The collaboration addresses growing demand for semiconductors in sectors such as electronics, automotive, telecommunications, and artificial intelligence. FUJIFILM India has more than 20 production bases worldwide and expertise in advanced materials. It views India as a strategic market for future growth.

Mr. Koji Wada, Managing Director, FUJIFILM India, stated that the MoU marks a milestone toward potential investment in Dholera and contributes to the country’s long-term growth and innovation ambitions.
