Quantum Computing Completes Acquisition of NHanced Semiconductors to Launch Fab 2
Quantum Computing completed the acquisition of NHanced Semiconductors. The transaction used a combination of cash and QCi stock valued at $73.1 million, subject to customary adjustments, plus up to an additional $72.0 million if certain performance targets are achieved.
NHanced is a U.S.-based advanced packaging foundry. It specializes in integration, hybrid bonding, chiplet architectures, silicon interposers, and photonics device integration.
QCi stated that the acquisition adds semiconductor and nanophotonics fabrication capabilities, advanced packaging expertise, and specialized engineering talent. The company said this supports its transition from research-driven innovation and prototyping to scalable commercial production. Advanced photonics technology and manufacturing form the core of QCi’s commercialization roadmap.
QCi previously completed the acquisition and integration of Luminar Semiconductor Inc., which installed expertise and fabrication in laser, light detection, photonic packaging, and testing. QCi stated that the NHanced acquisition supplies the foundation for scalable chip manufacturing of its quantum and photonics technologies. It supports commercialization efforts and advances the vision of a vertically integrated platform that spans research, development, and manufacturing.
QCi stated that the acquisition positions the c...
