Teradyne Appoints Alpa Sood as India Country Manager in Bengaluru as Expansion Aligns with India Semiconductor Mission

Teradyne has appointed Alpa Sood as India Country Manager, based in Bengaluru. She joined the automated test equipment (ATE) and semiconductor test solutions leader in June 2026, succeeding Paresh Bharkhada as Country Manager.

Sood’s appointment comes as Teradyne expands its footprint in the country, aligning closely with the India Semiconductor Mission (ISM) to support local OSAT, ATMP, and electronics manufacturing growth. Teradyne posted saying "We couldn't be more thrilled to welcome Alpa Sood to the team! India is a strategic priority for Teradyne, and Alpa's deep expertise across business, policy, and government affairs makes her the ideal leader to drive our next chapter in the region. Big things ahead."

Alpa Sood posted on LinkedIn saying "I’m joining Teradyne at exactly the right moment to help translate that ambition into real manufacturing and test capability. I want to thank Paresh Bharkhada for the foundation he has built for Teradyne in India. I'm grateful for his guidance and support as I step into this role." Prior to joining Teradyne, Sood served in strategic and legal leadership roles at Marvell Technology.
