Mobile n/w used for wireless M2M to increase by 22% in 2013

Berg Insight has estimated the global number of mobile network connections used for wireless machine-to-machine (M2M) communication will increase by 22 percent in 2013 to reach 164.5 million. East Asia, Western Europe and North America are the main regional markets, accounting for around 75 percent of the installed base, according to Berg Insight. Other market research points and expert comments shared by Berg Insight includes: In the next five years, the global number of wireless M2M connections is forecasted to grow at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 24.4 percent to reach 489.2 million in 2018.
