1st quarter of 2013 was the bottom of the 2012 semicon slump, says Cypress

Cypress Semiconductor has reported its quarterly revenue of 172.728 Million US$ for its first-quarter 2013 , where its first quarter revenue declined 4% sequentially.

Cypress is positive on its next quarter, Cypress says its book-to-bill was 1.04, which marked the first time it has been above unity in a year. Cypress expects solid sequential revenue growth in the second quarter for all its divisions.

Cypress has lauded its latest product PSoC4 saying "it is the most important chip Cypress has ever brought to market".
