The switch is built on UltraCMOS process technology, which combines GaAs-like RF performance with CMOS integration and manufacturability. Rodd Novak, Vice President of Sales and Marketing at pSemi, stated that the PE42727 was engineered to address DOCSIS 4.0 system requirements for consistent linearity and signal integrity across wide bandwidths.

PE42727 samples are available now, with commercial orders currently being accepted.
