Littelfuse, announced the TX00AS314TRA Omnipolar TMR Switch Sensor, a magnetic sensing device that combines a TMR sensing element with integrated CMOS signal-processing circuitry, including an on-chip voltage generator, low-noise amplifier, comparator, and Schmitt trigger. The sensor supports X-axis (in-plane) magnetic field detection and operates with a typical supply current of 1.5 µA while providing detection speeds up to 1 kHz. It features omnipolar sensing, responding to both north and south magnetic poles, along with precise operate and release thresholds and built-in hysteresis for stable switching.
The device is housed in a compact SOT-23-3 package and offers high sensitivity of approximately 14 Gauss. It is designed for always-on, battery-powered systems requiring low power consumption, compact size, and reliable operation.
Target applications include building and home automation (smart meters with tamper detection and position sensing), industrial automation (proximity sensing), consumer electronics (appliances, power tools, battery-powered IoT devices, and wearables), and utilities (gas, water, and heat metering).
The TX00AS314TRA expands Littelfuse’s TMR sensor portfolio. It is available in tube or tape-and-reel packaging through authorized distributors worldwide.
