Bourns announced the release of the PF-000100E, PF-01N100E, and PF-1NH100E Series, new additions to the POWrFuse High-Power Fuse product family. These high-power industrial fuse links are designed to protect semiconductor (aR Class) and battery (aBat) applications against overcurrent conditions. They comply with UL 248-13 (aR Class), IEC 60269-4 (aR Class), and IEC 60269-7 (battery storage systems) standards.
Key specifications by series:
- PF-000100E Series: Rated current 50–250 A, 1000 VDC, 50 kA interrupting rating. Supports aR and aBat classes. Bolt-down mounting.
- PF-01N100E Series: Rated current 50–450 A, 800–1000 VDC, 50 kA interrupting rating. Supports aR class. Bolt-down, DIN bolt, or flush end mounting.
- PF-1NH100E Series: Rated current 400–630 A, 1000 VDC, 50 kA interrupting rating. Supports aR class. Bolt-down mounting.
The fuses feature low DC resistance (as low as 0.0025 Ω) to minimize power loss and temperature rise. They operate over a temperature range of –55 °C to +125 °C and are RoHS compliant and halogen free.
Target applications include power conversion devices, DC systems, DC common bus systems, battery energy storage systems (BESS), and DC charging piles.
