Qorvo announced a new portfolio of silicon-on-insulator (SOI) RF switches and digital step attenuators (DSAs) targeted at defense, aerospace, and infrastructure customers. The portfolio is designed to simplify RF system design, reduce bill of materials (BOM) complexity, and accelerate integration in wideband systems. The components feature TTL-compatible control, eliminating the need for a negative voltage rail. This simplifies biasing networks, reduces BOM count, and streamlines board layouts while maintaining fast-switching speeds, high isolation, and high linearity.

The new solutions provide a simpler alternative to legacy GaAs-based RF control components and multi-vendor approaches.
Products in the portfolio include:
- QPC2320: Reflective SPDT Switch, up to 15 GHz. Key features: low insertion loss, high isolation, high linearity, <50 ns switching. Target applications: radar, EW, secure communications.
- QPC2420: Reflective SPDT Switch, up to 30 GHz. Key features: wideband coverage, high linearity, fast switching, compact footprint. Target applications: wideband radar, SATCOM, test & measurement.
- QPC2180: Reflective SP8T Switch, up to 8 GHz. Key features: high linearity for filter banks, compact integration. Target applications: filter banks, multi-band radios.
- QPC5330: 6-bit Digital Step Attenuator, up to 15 GHz. Key features: precise attenuation, glitch-safe operation, SPI/I2C control. Target applications: signal conditioning, radar/EW.
- QPC5430: 6-bit Digital Step Attenuator, up to 30 GHz. Key features: wideband attenuation, high linearity, daisy-chain support. Target applications: test & measurement, microwave backhaul, communications systems.

It aligns with trends in wider bandwidth radar and electronic warfare (EW) systems, agile signal routing, and pressure to reduce size, weight, and power (SWaP).
