Toshiba Electronic Devices & Storage Corporation has announced the TXZ+ Family Entry-Class M4H Group of standard microcontrollers featuring an Arm® Cortex-M4 core with floating-point unit (FPU). Engineering samples of the new devices are now available.

The microcontrollers are designed for small-scale system control applications in consumer products, such as air conditioners and washing machines, and in industrial equipment, including multifunction printers and factory automation systems.

The M4H Group devices operate at a maximum frequency of 120 MHz and support a supply voltage range of 2.7 V to 5.5 V. They integrate a high-speed oscillator with ±1% accuracy, reducing the need for external components. They also include essential peripheral functions for system control, such as a 12-bit analog-to-digital converter (ADC), timers, UART, SPI, I²C, and DMA controller. An advanced programmable motor driver (A-PMD) supports brushless DC motor control.
