Cyient Semiconductors Launches Seven GaN Power Devices in India Using Navitas Technology

Cyient Semiconductors  announced the launch of seven new gallium nitride (GaN) power devices for the Indian market, developed with Navitas Semiconductor’s  GaN technology.  The launch represents Cyient Semiconductors’ first commercial GaN product family. The devices target demand for high-efficiency, high-power-density solutions in AI data centers, telecommunications, consumer fast charging, industrial power systems, and e-mobility platforms.

The announcement builds on a strategic collaboration first disclosed in December 2025. Under the agreement, Cyient Semiconductors licenses Navitas’s GaN technology for use in India and serves as a second source for select Navitas GaN devices already in mass production. This setup provides local support, supply assurance, and alignment with domestic sourcing initiatives.

Compared to traditional silicon devices, the GaN power semiconductors offer higher switching speeds, lower conduction losses, and improved thermal efficiency. These characteristics enable reduced power losses, smaller solution sizes, simplified thermal management, and higher overall system performance.

The initial portfolio covers power applications up to 650 V, including consumer USB PD chargers, laptop and mobile adapters, AC-DC power supplies, AI data center and telecommunications power systems, and e-mobility char...
