u-blox announced the availability of a high-precision RTK GNSS testing and design network across Taiwan. The network enables engineers and developers to evaluate and optimize designs using u-blox’s PointPerfect Flex service, achieving centimetre-level positioning accuracy in real-world conditions. Taiwan serves as a key location in the global electronics ecosystem, where a significant volume of RTK GNSS-enabled products are designed and manufactured before deployment in markets such as the United States and Europe. The live PointPerfect test network allows validation of high precision performance earlier in the product lifecycle.

The Taiwan test network grants access to u-blox’s PointPerfect Flex GNSS correction service. This service delivers scalable, high-accuracy positioning without the complexity of traditional RTK systems. It is built on PPP-RTK technology and provides fast convergence times, robust performance, and global scalability.

PointPerfect Flex is suitable for applications including industrial automation, robotics, precision agriculture, and autonomous systems.

Engineers in Taiwan are already familiar with u-blox's F9, F20, and X20 GNSS receiver modules, which are used across industrial, automotive, and consumer applications. The PointPerfect correction service is designed to maximize the accuracy potential of these receivers with minimal additional infrastructure. The new test network facilitates direct experience with this combination.

A noted feature of the testing platform is its flexibility: engineers can validate performance with both u-blox and non-u-blox GNSS receivers. This supports benchmarking of solutions, optimization of system integration, and meeting of accuracy requirements.

“With Taiwan being a global hub for electronics design and manufacturing, enabling local access to high-precision testing is a strategic step. Our PointPerfect Flex service allows developers to achieve reliable centimetre-level accuracy with minimal infrastructure, and this new network ensures they can validate performance directly where products are created,” said Neil Hamilton, Positioning Services Business Unit at u-blox.

The Taiwan PointPerfect test network is now available to qualified developers and partners. Interested parties can request access by emailing services-support@u-blox.com to begin testing.

This development aligns with the established process of designing products in Taiwan for subsequent shipment to the US and Europe.
