OMNIVISION TheiaCel HDR Sensors OX08D10 and OX03H10 Now Supported on NVIDIA DRIVE AGX Hyperion for Autonomous Vehicles

OMNIVISION announced that its two CMOS image sensors equipped with TheiaCel technology—the 8-megapixel OX08D10 and the 3-megapixel OX03H10—are now supported on the NVIDIA DRIVE AGX Hyperion autonomous vehicle platform.

The NVIDIA DRIVE AGX Hyperion platform was released by NVIDIA at CES 2026. It functions as a reference compute and sensor architecture designed for high levels of functional safety and cybersecurity. The platform enables vehicles to achieve up to Level 4 autonomy and supports automakers and developers in constructing safe, scalable, AI-defined vehicle fleets.

Dr. Paul Wu, Global Director of Automotive Product Marketing at OMNIVISION, stated that the integration of OMNIVISION products with the NVIDIA DRIVE AGX Hyperion allows developers and customers to accelerate the design and deployment of autonomous driving systems. He added that the flagship image sensors with TheiaCel HDR technology provide tools to advance autonomous vehicle development from concept to commercial readiness while preserving safety functions and image fidelity in real-world driving scenarios.

The OX08D10 is an automotive image sensor that incorporates OMNIVISION’s 2.1 µm TheiaCel technology. This technology uses next-generation lateral overflow integration capacitors (LOFIC) combined with OMNIVISION’s DCG high dynamic range (HDR) method to...
