Arrow Electronics Partners with .lumen to Scale Production of AI-Powered Guide Glasses for the Blind, CES 2026 Honoree

Arrow Electronics, a global technology solutions provider, is collaborating with Romanian startup.lumen to scale manufacturing of its intelligent guide glasses designed for people who are blind or visually impaired.

The .lumen Glasses for the Blind replicate core functions of a guide dog through a wearable headset that integrates artificial intelligence, six cameras, and real-time haptic feedback. The system scans the environment continuously in real time, detects obstacles, identifies safe paths, and delivers directional guidance via gentle vibrations.

All navigation processing occurs locally on the device without cloud dependency, ensuring ultra-low latency required for safe operation in dynamic settings such as crowded streets or unfamiliar indoor areas.

.lumen exhibited the glasses at CES in Las Vegas from January 5-9, 2026, where the product was named a CES Innovation Awards 2026 Honoree in the Accessibility and Longevity category. It also won the CTA Foundation’s 2026 Pitch Competition.
