Tablet OLED Panel Shipments to Surge 39% YoY to 15M Units in 2026 – Omdia

Total tablet panel shipments are projected to reach 297.4 million units in 2025 (up 8% YoY) and 301.5 million units in 2026 (up 1.4% YoY). LCD tablet panel shipments will remain essentially flat, rising from 286.5 million units in 2025 to 286.4 million units in 2026.

OLED growth in 2026 is expected to be driven by:
- Higher Samsung Display shipments for Apple iPad Pro and the new iPad mini
- Increased volumes from Chinese suppliers BOE, ChinaStar, and Visionox, particularly flexible OLED panels for Huawei

In 2025, tablet panel shipment growth is led by LCD technology, supported by aggressive expansion from Chinese suppliers BOE, ChinaStar, HKC Display, and Tianma to domestic brands including Lenovo, Huawei, Honor, and Xiaomi. Strong demand from 1Q25 to 3Q25 has enabled Apple, Lenovo, and Samsung to increase market share.
