Littelfuse Launches LF21112TMR Omnipolar and LF11215TMR Bipolar TMR Switches with 200nA and 1.5µA Power Draw
Littelfuse has introduced two tunneling magnetoresistance (TMR) magnetic switches: the LF21112TMR omnipolar switch and the LF11215TMR bipolar switch.
Both devices are packaged in SOT23-3 and operate from 1.8 V to 5.0 V. They feature push-pull CMOS output and Schmitt-trigger inputs.
- LF21112TMR (omnipolar): typical current consumption 200 nA, detects both North and South magnetic poles.
- LF11215TMR (bipolar): typical current consumption 1.5 µA, magnetic sensitivity of 17 Gauss, activates on one polarity and resets on the opposite.
Applications include smart utility meters (gas, water, heat), battery-powered wearables, IoT sensors, lid/cover detection in appliances and power tools, tamper detection in home and building automation, and rotary/linear position sensing in light industrial and robotic equipment.
