Toshiba Expands Digital Isolators Lineup with Dual-Channel Models for Industrial High-Speed Data Transmission
Toshiba Electronic Devices & Storage Corporation has launched the DCL52xx00 Series, consisting of four dual-channel high-speed standard digital isolators for industrial equipment. The products support common mode transient immunity (CMTI) of 100kV/μs (typ.) under test conditions of VI=VDDI or 0V, VCM=1500V, Ta=25°C (VDDI is VDD1 or VDD2 of the input-side), and a data rate of 150Mbps (max) under VDD1=VDD2=2.25 to 5.5V, Ta=-40 to 125°C. Shipments have already began.
The DCL520C00 and DCL520D00 models feature two forward channels. The DCL521C00 and DCL521D00 models include one forward channel and one reverse channel. These join the quad-channel DCL54xx01 Series, bringing Toshiba's standard digital isolators lineup to 14 products with varied channel configurations.
The series employs Toshiba's magnetic coupling type isolated transmission method, matching the CMTI of the DCL54xx01 Series. It achieves pulse width distortion of 0.8ns (typ.) under VDD1=VDD2=5V, Ta=25°C. The isolators suit multi-channel applications including I/O interfaces with UART (asynchronous serial communication without clock signal) and I2C (synchronous serial communication with clock signal).
Applications include industrial automation systems such as programmable logic controllers and I/O interfaces, motor control, and inverters.
