Rohde & Schwarz Unveils High-Frequency R&S ZNB3000 Models up to 54 GHz for AI and RF Testing

Rohde & Schwarz has introduced new frequency models for its R&S ZNB3000 vector network analyzer, extending coverage to 32 GHz, 43.5 GHz, and 54 GHz. Launched in February 2025, the R&S ZNB3000 is designed for high-speed and precise RF testing and will be showcased at European Microwave Week (EuMW) 2025 in Utrecht at booth A026 from September 23 to 25.

The new models support applications including RF component testing for 5G, 6G, Wi-Fi, and satellite communications in the Ka and V bands, covering components such as filters, mixers, amplifiers, switches, and beamformers. They also enable signal integrity testing for high-speed interconnects in AI data centers, supporting technologies like high-speed Ethernet (IEEE 802.3ck) and PCIe 7.0, which require testing up to 50 GHz for data rates up to 128.0 GT/s. At EuMW 2025, a demonstration featuring a PCIe cable as the device under test will highlight the 54 GHz model’s capability for AI-driven workload interconnects.

The R&S ZNB3000 offers a dynamic range of up to 150 dB, high output power, and low trace noise of less than 0.0015 dB RMS. It includes a low start frequency of 9 kHz for time-domain analysis, ultra-fast measurement speed for high throughput, and a flexible frequency upgrade option allowing ...
