MediaTek Dimensity 9500 Debuts with Advanced AI and Gaming Features for 5G Smartphones

MediaTek today announced the launch of the Dimensity 9500, a mobile platform for flagship 5G smartphones. The chipset features a third-generation All Big Core CPU design with a 4.21GHz ultra core, three premium cores, four performance cores, and four-lane UFS 4.1 storage. It delivers 32% higher single-core and 17% higher multi-core performance compared to its predecessor, with the ultra core reducing power consumption by 55% at peak performance and 30% during multitasking in gaming and social audio call apps.

The Dimensity 9500 includes the Arm G1-Ultra GPU, offering 33% higher peak performance, 42% improved power efficiency, and support for 120FPS raytracing, MegaLights in Unreal Engine 5.6, and Nanite in Unreal Engine 5.5. Its ninth-generation NPU 990 with Generative AI Engine 2.0 doubles compute power, supports BitNet 1.58-bit large model processing, and reduces power consumption by 33%. It enables 100% faster 3 billion parameter LLM output, 128K token text processing, and 4K ultra-high-definition image generation, with peak power consumption reduced by 56%. The Super Efficient NPU with compute-in-memory architecture lowers power usage for continuous AI model operation.
