Littelfuse has introduced the 828 and 827 Series High Voltage Cartridge Fuses, the first AEC-Q200-compliant fuses rated at 1,000 VDC (828 Series) and 800 VDC (827 Series). These fuses are designed for electric vehicle (EV) applications, including Onboard Chargers (OBCs) and Power Distribution Units (PDUs).

The 828 and 827 Series feature a 10 kA interrupting rating and operate within a temperature range of -55°C to 125°C. They offer multiple mounting options, including through-hole and bolt-down configurations with integrated ISO terminal and stand-off leads. Compliant with AEC-Q200, RoHS, halogen-free, and 100% Pb-Free standards, these fuses eliminate the need for additional mounting accessories or complex lead-forming, optimizing PCB space and simplifying integration into high-voltage circuits.

Style Liu, Global Product Manager at Littelfuse, noted that the fuses address the need for high-voltage protection in a compact form for automotive electronics, providing engineers with design flexibility. The 828 and 827 Series are available in tray format in quantities of 300 to 500 through authorized Littelfuse distributors worldwide.
