Bourns Launches SRF1206A-501Y and SRF1206A-172Y Common Mode Chokes for EMI Suppression in Automotive and Power Systems

Bourns, a manufacturer of electronic components for power, protection, and sensing solutions, has released two new high current common mode choke models, SRF1206A-501Y and SRF1206A-172Y. These models are part of the Bourns SRF1206A Series, which is automotive grade and compliant with AEC-Q200 standards. They are designed for EMI suppression and noise filtering in in-vehicle switch-mode power supplies, as well as consumer and industrial systems.

The SRF1206A-501Y and SRF1206A-172Y feature a monolithic ferrite core with a closed-loop magnetic path for magnetic shielding. Their sector-wound configuration enhances dielectric strength between windings. The chokes provide impedance ranging from 500 to 1700 ohms, support current ratings up to 10 A, and operate within a temperature range of -40 to +125 °C.
