Vishay Launches Compact TSM41 Cermet Trimmers for Harsh Environment Electronics

Vishay Intertechnology, announced the release of its TSM41 series of industrial-grade, multi-turn, surface-mount cermet trimmers, designed for space-constrained applications in harsh environments. The trimmers feature a 4 mm by 4 mm footprint, a temperature range of -55 °C to +140 °C, and IP67 sealing.

The TSM41 series is 42% smaller than previous-generation devices, enabling higher package density. It offers a resistance range of 10 Ω to 1 MΩ, with fine-tuning capabilities and a faster setting time compared to single-turn trimmers. The devices have a 0.25 W power rating at +85 °C and are available in top and side adjustment styles to accommodate various design needs.

Suitable for automated PCB assembly, the trimmers can be mounted on both sides of a board and withstand standard board wash processes. Applications include welding equipment, power tools, smoke detectors, and HVAC systems. Samples and production quantities are available with a 15-week lead time.
