TDK EPCOS B3264xH Film Capacitors Meet High-Frequency Demands in Automotive and Industrial Applications
TDK Corporation (TSE:6762) introduced the EPCOS B3264xH series of double-sided metallized polypropylene film capacitors (MMKP), designed for high-frequency applications with pulse stress up to 6,500 V/µs. These capacitors are suited for resonant circuits, particularly LLC topology, and are used in onboard chargers (OBCs) and DC-DC converters for electric vehicles (xEVs), as well as uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), industrial switch-mode power supplies (SMPS), and electronic ballasts.

The B3264xH series offers a rated DC voltage range of 630 V to 2000 V and capacitance values from 2.2 µF to 470 µF. The capacitors feature a dielectric system combining polypropylene and double-sided metallized PET film, providing high pulse strength and current handling capabilities. They are rated for continuous operation from -55 °C to +125 °C, ensuring reliability in harsh environments.
With high insulation resistance, low dissipation factor, and self-healing properties, the series achieves a service life of 200,000 hours at +85 °C and full rated voltage.
