Arteris’ FlexGen Smart NoC IP to Power AMD’s Next-Generation AI Chiplet Designs
Arteris, Inc., a provider of semiconductor system IP for system-on-chip (SoC) development, has announced that AMD has licensed its FlexGen network-on-chip (NoC) interconnect IP for use in next-generation AI chiplet designs. The FlexGen NoC IP will facilitate data transport in AMD chiplets, supporting AI applications across data centers, edge, and end devices.
The integration of Arteris’ FlexGen NoC IP with AMD’s Infinity Fabri interconnect addresses the complexity of modern SoCs and chiplet-based architectures, which require multiple specialized interconnects. FlexGen is designed to optimize wire length, reduce latency, and improve power efficiency in complex multi-die and chiplet-based designs. It can function as a standalone interconnect or work alongside proprietary interconnect technologies to support faster design iterations.
AMD aims to enhance its AI compute portfolio by incorporating FlexGen NoC IP to automate interconnect configuration and enable seamless connectivity among SoC components. This collaboration builds on Arteris’ role in providing configurable NoC IP to meet the performance and scalability demands of modern computing systems.
