TDK Unveils Extensive Lineup of Large-Size Ferrite Cores for Industrial Applications

TDK  introduced a new range of large-size ferrite cores, featuring various core shapes including E, U, I, PM, and PQ, available in N27, N87, N88, N92, N95, and N97 power materials. This lineup is designed for industrial applications such as motor drives, EV charging stations, railway/traction systems, power transformers, welding, medical equipment, uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), solar inverters, and other renewable energy systems. The cores support optimized magnetic design for enhanced efficiency and thermal performance.

Key applications include traction and railway systems, EV and battery charging, renewable energy (wind and solar), energy storage, welding, and medical equipment. The cores offer increased power, low losses at high switching frequencies, and low losses at elevated temperatures ranging from +100°C to +140°C. Accessories such as coil formers and mounting hardware are provided, with a coil former designed for multiple stacked E-cores.

TDK also offers a free Ferrite Magnetic Design Tool to support simulation and design processes for these ferrite cores.
