Keysight Enhances EMI Testing: Faster Compliance and Workflows with New PXE Receiver
Keysight Technologies has upgraded its PXE Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) Receiver, introducing a real-time, gapless 1 GHz measurement bandwidth. The enhanced receiver measures from 30 MHz to 1 GHz in a single step, compared to the previous three-step process, improving test speed and sensitivity while accelerating electromagnetic compliance (EMC) and certification workflows.

The upgrade addresses challenges in EMC certification testing, which has become a bottleneck due to shorter product development cycles and complex electronic designs causing intermittent EMI issues. The PXE EMI Receiver features a 1 GHz Time Domain Scan (TDS) bandwidth and a standalone stream processing unit (N9048BSPU), reducing troubleshooting time from hours to minutes. It ensures no transient or low-level EMI signals are missed with its gapless measurement capability and adheres to CISPR 16-1-1:2019 standards.
Yoshimichi Imaizumi of TOYO Corporation noted the integration of the PXE Receiver with their EPX software enhances test automation and compliance. Jason Kary of Keysight’s Electronic Industrial Solutions Group stated the receiver’s high sensitivity, superior dynamic range, and real-time monitoring help engineers resolve EMI issues faster, shortening developme...
